About Friends of Lori Diogo (FOLD)

Friends of Lori Diogo (FOLD) was founded by the family and friends of Lori and Deniz Diogo during Lori’s courageous battle with Renal Cell Carcinoma. What started as a way to bring loved ones together—sharing great food, drinks, and time—quickly became something more meaningful: a way to support Lori and her family through a difficult time.

At the first-ever FOLD event, Lori’s friends presented her with a check—funds raised to help with the everyday financial challenges that cancer brought into her life. Lori, Deniz, and their children—Jennifer, Leanne, and Michael—were deeply moved and forever grateful for the generosity shown by so many.

T-Shirt Fundraiser

We are excited to announce our first ever Friends of Lori Diogo T-Shirt Fundraiser. 100% of the money raised from the 2025 T-Shirt Fundraiser will go directly to the Friends of Lori Diogo foundation, providing us with the ability help individuals and families across MA/RI who are in need of financial support during their battle with cancer.

This year’s shirt is a Team 365, white, dry fit, unisex shirt with a branded FOLD logo printed on the front and back.

Keeping Lori’s Legacy Alive

In 2012, Lori sadly lost her battle with cancer. To honor her memory and continue the spirit of love and support that FOLD represented, Deniz, their children, and a circle of devoted family and friends kept the tradition going.

For five years, FOLD hosted annual dinners and golf tournaments, raising nearly $100,000. All proceeds were donated to Julia Saulino and the FLY Foundation, a nonprofit based in Fall River, MA. The FLY Foundation provides financial support to young adult cancer patients (ages 19–39) in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Why We Do It

FOLD continues to support the FLY Foundation, helping young adults navigate the financial burdens of cancer treatment. Our mission remains simple but powerful:
